In addition we also provide BS5544 and BS5051 compliant security glazing systems for anti-bandit (resistant to manual attack) and bomb or bullet resistant requirements.
The company is often called upon to upgrade existing commercial glazing systems to comply with modern safety and security standards. Using laminated, toughened or combined double glazed units, specialist units or film application, our safety and security standards are stringent and fully certificated.
Laminated
Our laminated glass products protect against fragments of glass being dislodged from the glazing system upon impact of most kinds. The inner panel of all D/G units used in GR3 rooflights and atria consists of laminated safety glass. In addition our laminated glass offers protection against intrusion or vandalism and can diffuse up to 99.5% of ultraviolet radiation.
Toughened
GR3 heat toughened glass provides Class A safety impact performance to BS6206 for use in all critical locations. At every specification our toughened glass products are also highly resistant to temperature changes, ideal for use where there are thermal stress requirements.
Fire Resistant
Where required our systems and incorporated glass specifications can provide up to 120 minutes integrity against the effects of fire. Where aesthetics are vital our products can alleviate the need for an internally wired panel with specially treated clear or coloured glass providing optimum levels of fire resistance.
Films
Solar control films can be applied, absorbing up to 80% of the suns heat, thus reducing air conditioning running costs and plant size. UV light gain can also be reduced by 98% cutting down on glare. This being ideal in situations where VDU's are in use, ensuring that your building falls within the remit of the current CDM regulations.
Our Site Technicians are trained to CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) standards, IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) standards, IPAF (Industrial Powered Access Federation) standards and PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) standards.
